Derek Kronkowski

Project Associate

Derek began his tenure at The JFM Group LLC as an intern in 2017 while a junior at Iona college. During the internship, Derek started honing his interest in fundraising and event planning for not-for-profit organizations and realized he also truly enjoys the high energy and fast pace of the actual event production. While pursuing a degree in mass communications, with a focus in public relations, Derek also discovered a passion for community service when he volunteered for the Midnight Run, an event where a group of students prepare meals for the homeless. Once the meals are ready, the students board the midnight train to Grand Central Terminal and not only hand out the meals, but also sit and talk with the recipients. He also launched his own event on campus called “Anything is Pawsable,” in which he partnered with Guiding Eyes for the Blind, an organization that trains and provides guide dogs to people with vision loss. The event focused on how to properly interact with blind people using guide dogs, how to apply to be a puppy raiser and much more. Derek has a retail background and brings top notch customer service skills to all client interactions at JFM.

As Derek is such a great fit, and has made major professional strides, he is now a Project Associate and full-time member of the JFM team. When he is not working, Derek enjoys spending time with his friends and family, as well as attending Mets, Jets, Knicks and Rangers games, the ultimate sports fan. He also volunteers as a youth basketball and baseball coach.
